Franzis Kabisch is an artistic researcher, filmmaker and author who moves between Berlin and Vienna, institutions and activism, desire and crisis. Influenced by various contexts such as body work, queer film groups and the pro-choice movement, her projects focus on body norms, desire and reproductive justice. For several years, she has been conducting scientific and artistic research on abortion in films and series and is working on a feature-length documentary film on this topic with found footage from the 1990s to the present day. She also shares her research results on the Instagram channel @abortion.tv. In addition to her artistic work, she teaches at universities, gives workshops and writes for Missy Magazine.
