1989. Videograms of a Revolution

Film screening and discussion with Andrei Ujica (Berlin/Karlsruhe)

How to find us

In ten days in 1989, a rebellion in Romania overthrew the government and executed leader Nicolai Ceaucescu and his wife. Demonstrators then occupied the television station and broadcasted continuously for 120 hours. Andrei Ujica’s film "Videograms of a Revolution" is a condensation of 125 hours of video material documenting the chronology of these astounding events – revealing precisely, how a "revolution" is made by "televisio" and "video".
